Another amazing beach wave product

hair products

I’m always trying new products to perfect the beachy wave look I prefer for my hair. I have tried so many products and may have left me frizzy or dry looking.Curly hair can be tough to work with.

Deva Curl Wave Maker is a really nice product. I just got it in the mail from Ulta last night. It leaves soft, touchable waves that are less messy than the Paul Mitchell ultimate wave. It also has less hold as it is more of a mousse cream as opposed to a gel cream. No crunchy waves with this! It smells faintly of coconut oil, which could be a deal breaker for some people, but it is slight.

I used slightly less than a palm sized amount in my hair, ( one squeeze from the bottle) and scrunched it in, but my hair is very thick. You may need less depending on the length and thickness of your hair. This product kind of stretches curls into waves, so it would most likely not work on straight hair very well. If you have curly hair that you wish was more wavy than curly, then you will love this!!

I have frizz fee, soft natural looking waves without any additional styling. I love anything that makes getting ready easier! I’m so over using hot tools on my hair, and avoid blow-drying when I can.

Let me know if you try it!! Do you have any great hair products??

Easy, effortless beach waves

hair products

I have very thick wavy/curly hair that tends to get very frizzy. I have spent my entire life working to make it look good.  If I just let it dry with no product it would be a huge frizzy mess that would make me look like a homeless person!! Going blonde only made the problem worse. For years I spent forever blow drying and straightening my hair. It was a nightmare!! I took forever because I would have to blow-dry for half an hour or more just to get it dry. Then I would have to go back and flat iron in tiny sections. I always needed to get it cut because it was constantly damaged! I lived in  bob purgatory. I wanted to grow it longer, but my ends were too gross. I got over it!

I decided to just work with my natural texture so I could get out of the bathroom and on with my life! I’ve tried so many products, some worked, some didn’t. Since I stopped straightening, my hair is healthier, longer and I am happier. I have more time to do other things!! I really wanted to get that beachy wavy look.

I have tried a bunch of sea salt wave sprays to get that beachy texture, but they made my hair look dry and frizzy. Curl creams look nice, but not the messy, sexy wavy look I prefer. Just the other day, I tried Paul Mitchell ultimate wave, it’s a cream gel with just enough hold. I put a quarter size amount in my hand and scrunch it into my hair, that’s it!! I let it air dry, which for me takes a few hours, and it looked great!! Not frizzy at all!  Back from the beach messy waves. The next day, I didn’t want to leave the house with wet hair so I blow-dryed with a diffuser for just a few minutes. Whalla! Still great.

This is my favorite hair product ever!! If it’s beachy waves you want, try this product

Because of the amount of hold, I think it might work well for straighter hair too. You may need to use less than me if your hair is not as thick. If you have straight hair, I would recommend blow-drying with a diffuser to encourage the wave.

Let me know what you think of it.

My new holy grail hair product!!
