Six pack abs by summer


I am determined to get six pack abs by summer. I already work out about 6 days a week and have good nutrition most of the time, ( I love pizza ) but while my stomach is usually flat, aside from occasional bloating,( being a girl sucks in that way) i do not have the definition i want. I’ve done my research, and to get that definition, I need to really watch my portions, make healthy food choices and change up my workouts. Abs are made in the kitchen as they say.

The workouts- I’m currently doing the Core de force workout on beachbody on demand. It’s like a kickboxing workout. It’s tough but doable and focuses on cardio and core training. By the end, I am a super gross, sweaty mess!! I also make sure to do some additional weight training and push ups. Then I’m doing pilates, yoga, or barre method to cool down with. Just because they don’t bring the sweat, they are no joke!

The diet-After working out, I shower and have either half a grapefruit or greek yogurt for breakfast. I am not a breakfast person and am usually not hungry, but I know I have to eat something. I also drink a ton of water! Usually 30 to 60oz. during my workout and then I fill up another 30oz. bottle and drink it throughout the day usually refilling at least once more. For lunch, I typically have an apple, strawberries,mushrooms, or a tomato with balsamic vinegar. For dinner I have either chicken or fish with a side of vegetables. There are lots of healthy recipes to keep it from getting boring!! Cauliflower rice, zucchini noodles, stir fry, salmon and spinach, chicken with zucchini and summer squash, spaghetti squash, just to name a few. If you’re truly hungry, eating a few more vegetables is totally okay.

I wish I could just eat pizza everyday and have a six pack, but I can’t. To quote Radiohead”I don’t care if it hurts. I want to have control. I want a perfect body. I want a perfect soul.”

By May, I will have a six pack abs!!! I plan to keep at it. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle!! This is going to be my year!!
